2010 Recreation Softball, Baseball and Little League
Registration deadline is Friday, February 19, 2010
Registration must be received on a baseball or softball form.
Forms are available in the Recreation office and online on our homepage.
Boys & Girls Recreation Softball & Baseball
Season: The season begins the week of May 3 and runs approximately 6 weeks.
Games: Teams play one game per week. Game days may vary Monday – Friday.
Practice: Teams may begin practicing the week of April 20 at the coach’s discretion.
Buddy Sign-up: A child is allowed to sign-up with one friend. See registration form for requirements.
League Placement: Placementis determined by current grade during the2009-2010 school years.

Note: Zeeland Little League is available for boys & girls interested in playing competitive baseball & softball.
Zeeland Girls Little League
Zeeland Little League is a competitive softball league for the competitive softball player. Players attend a mandatory ability testing and teams are drafted by the Little League Board. To participate in the Zeeland Little League, girls must live within the Zeeland Public School boundaries and meet the following age requirements:
9 & 10 yr old Minor League: Must turn 9 by January 1, 2010; may not turn 11 before January 1, 2010
11 & 12 yr old Major League: Must turn 11 by January 1, 2010; may not turn 13 before January 1, 2010
Ability Testing: All new and advancing players attend a mandatory ability testing.
8 yr old Try-outs: Girls who turn 8 by January 1, 2010 are eligible to try-out for the 9-10 yr old league.
Season: The regular season begins the week of April 20. Team tournaments begin mid-June.
Games: Teams play multiple games each week. Game days vary Monday-Saturday.
Practice: Teams may begin practicing the week of April 6 at the coach’s discretion. Most teams practice throughout the season.
Buddy Sign-up: Teams are drafted by the coaches. Players may not sign-up with a friend.
All Star Teams: Each league selects an All-Star team. All-Star tournaments begin in July. Note: Selected players who would
like to play on the All-Star team will be charged an additional $20.00 fee and uniform expenses.
League Cost: $50.00
Zeeland Boys Little League
Zeeland Little League is a competitive baseball league for the competitive baseball player. Players attend a mandatory ability testing and teams are drafted by the coaches. To participate in the Zeeland Little League, boys must live within the Zeeland
Public School boundaries and meet the following age requirements:
