Zeeland Age Group Swim
Zeeland Age Group Swim (ZAGS) is a competitive swim team for children 6-12 years age. Practice will focus on stroke refinement, technique and preparation for competition. Participants will gain confidence while competing against other swimmers their age and gender. There will be 4 dual meets, an invitational and a Championship meet. Swimmers are expected to be at all meets and are REQUIRED to swim the Zeeland Classic and the Championship meets. Practices are held 3-4 days a week, depending on pool availability. Team/swim accessories will be for sale during the first week of practice and periodically throughout the season. Parents are required to work at least 2 meets and food donations from families will be required for concessions.
ALL NEW SWIMMERS must attend a new swimmers meeting (Date TBA). All new swimmers will be evaluated in order to determine readiness and assigned to the appropriate coach. If it is determined that your child is not ready for competitive swim, you will be notified at this time by the coaching staff. Full refunds will be given. Practice begins Tuesday, June 1. Practice schedules will be handed out the first week of practice. Check out the website at www.zeelandswimming.org for additional information.
