MEDITATION & MOVEMENT (SAT @ 8:30-9:45am @ Cityside MS Chix Coop | Instructor: Tina VanderKlok)

A recent “Stress in America” survey* cites money, work, and family responsibilities as the top sources of very or somewhat significant stress. Many of us find ourselves overwhelmed by never ending to-do lists, kids’ schedules, stress in the workplace, sports practices, and what we see in the news with little time to slow down, remove the distractions, and remember to breathe. Explore meditation, the practice of concentrated focus, which has profound effects on how we show up in the world. Through meditation and gentle, restorative movement, we can increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress and anxiety, promote relaxation and inspire personal growth. Ages 13-18 may attend if accompanied by an adult. Program size is limited. *Source: 2015 Stress in America, apa.orgTo register, click here or call (616) 748-3230. $4 drop-in fees and “Punch Cards” also able to be used to participate.
