SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAMS

 

Canning: Jams & Jellies (Tue, June 13 | 6:30 – 8:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $15, Zeeland Resident | $27, Non-Resident)

Learn how to preserve two different types of jams using homegrown fruit that your family will enjoy and you will enjoy giving as gifts to that special person in your life. Canning: Peaches (Tue, Aug 15 | 6:30 – 8:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $22, Zeeland Resident | $34, Non-Resident)

Canning: Tomatoes (Tue, August 29 | 6:30 – 8:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $22, Zeeland Resident | $34, Non-Resident)

Do you love tomatoes? Learn how to can and preserve tomatoes to make salsa, pizza sauce, and spaghetti sauce. You will also make a jar of jalapeno pepper jelly to take home! FALL/WINTER PROGRAMS

 

Canning: Applesauce (Tue, Oct 3 | 6:30-8:30pm OR 7:30-9:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $22, Zeeland Resident | $34, Non-Resident)

Homemade applesauce is one of those things that make you wonder, after you whip up a batch, why more folks don’t make it. It truly is one of the easiest and most delicious treats you can make from scratch, and it doesn’t take much time at all. Each participant will make applesauce from a half bushel of apples. Canning: Pears (Tue, Sept 12 | 6:30 – 8:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $22, Zeeland Resident | $34, Non-Resident)

Pie Crusts (October 10 OR October 17 | 6:30 – 8:30pm | Cityside MS, Room 135 | $15, Zeeland Resident | $27, Non-Resident)

Who doesn’t love a flaky pie crust? For many it’s always been difficult to achieve, despite most people’s claims that their recipe is THE flakiest pie crust in existence. We’ll use up some of those extra apples and everyone will take home a delicious pie made with their homemade crust.
